Leita May Hagler

Inkom- Leita May Hagler, 88, longtime resident of Inkom, passed away Friday evening June 29, 2012 in Pocatello, Idaho at a local care center following an illness.

She was born May 26, 1924 in Chesterfield, Idaho, a daughter of John Robert and Ruby Mable Upchurch Lloyd.

She attended schools in Chesterfield and Inkom. She graduated from Inkom High School.

On July 12, 1943, she married James J. Hagler in Inkom, Idaho. James passed away March 26, 2012.

She enjoyed sewing, fishing, hunting, camping, archery, crocheting, snowmobiling and skiing. She worked at the Skyline (Pebble Creek) ski area selling tickets for many years.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in Primary and Relief Society. She was also active in PTA and the Lady Lions.

She is survived by two daughters, Dianna Sterner; Inkom, Idaho; Lana Dahlke, Inkom, Idaho; five grandchildren, James (Lori) Sterner, Greg (Danielle) Sterner, Tyler (Darci) Dahlke, Tucker (Richelle) Dahlke, Tessa (Rance) Howell. 11 great-grandchildren, Colby Sterner, Justin Sterner, Sara Sterner, Jace Sterner, Sean Carlson, Jaxson Dahlke, Kallie Dahlke, Mylie Dahlke, Bodie Dahlke, Jaylee Howell, Harley May Howell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, son-in-law, Robert Sterner, 2 brothers, Dale Lloyd and Ralph Lloyd.

She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Leita's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ben Call, Dr. Rahim, Dr. Narroway, Dr. Gilbert, Creekside Hospice, Portneuf Medical Center and Quinn Meadows.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Inkom Ward chapel (Rapid Creek) with Bishop Dustin Young officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening July 5, 2012 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Inkom Ward Chapel and on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Inkom Cemetery

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.
